Woods and Waters LLC is located in Ely, MN, owned and operated by Ryan Bajan. We are a small highly-experienced company focused on restoring natural beauty of properties in the region. We exclusively use natural stone, from local mines, fields, and abroad, to craft retaining walls, patios, fireplaces, and veneer. Our company works with native plants to create erosion control, and practices care in tree removal, tree rehabilitation,

Ryan began working in the boundary waters at the age of 18 rebuilding portage trails for the US Forest Service. Sledging class 5, hand splitting and placing turnpikes and check dams, creating rock retaining walls, Ryan learned water control in the purest sense and how to carefully use the land to concentrate impact. After a decade of this work, Ryan learned large scale excavation with a local commercial company in Ely. Together with a small crew of experienced operators and laborers, Woods and Waters LLC has completed projects across the Iron Range, many with remote water access.
